Getting your Boat Ready for Transport Measuring your Boat
- Make sure to keep your boat as low as possible by removing all spot lights, GPS Antennas, Radar Domes etc.
- Remove all canvases, drain plugs, electronics, antennas, windshield wipers and personal items
- Make sure all loose items are properly secured or removed from the vessel
- Disconnect battery cables and empty fuel and water from the vessel
- Lock all hatches and windows on the boat
- Secure/Remove any and all seat cushions
- Anchor and Chain should be removed from the deck
- If you are Transporting a Sailboat, the mast must be removed
- Overall Boat Length
Includes the length of motors or outdrives, swim platforms and motor brackets
- Overall Boat Height
Measured from the bottom of the keel to the highest point of the vessel
- Boat Beam Width
Measure the widest point of the vessel including any permanent attachments
